For our first anniversary, we celebrated at Farmlore in Bangalore, a farm-to-table experience with dishes made from their own farm's produce, hydroponic veggies, and dairy. Highlights included edible plastic in a fish dish, whiskey and gin gummies, and a delicious duck. The chef also surprised us with a unique anniversary cake—individual ingredients that came together as a delicious chocolate cake. A truly memorable lunch I’ll cherish forever.

After a difficult breakup, I took a solo trip to the Andamans to fulfill my dream of scuba diving with Dive India. Though I struggled at first, by the third day, everything fell into place. Diving beneath the waves was like entering another world—time slowed, colors popped, and the coral reefs were simply mesmerizing. Since then, I’ve dived in five different countries, each dive leaving me in awe. Scuba diving is more than a sport; it's an unforgettable journey into tranquility and wonder.

My wife and I visited Velanga Orchard in Andhra Pradesh, where we stayed in a charming wooden cottage surrounded by serene mango orchards. The host couple made us feel at home—organizing kayaking, a barbecue under the stars, and a pottery studio run by his wife. We also joined a traditional achaar-making workshop and hiked up the mountain for a stunning sunset view. The experience evoked nostalgic childhood memories of village life, stargazing, and cooking over a wooden chulha. It was a deeply relaxing and soulful stay I’ll always cherish.

About eight years ago, a group of us visited Udaipur for a friend's birthday. After seeing all the typical sights, we spontaneously joined a cycling tour. Our host, Bhavani, took us on a memorable 10 km route, with a scenic breakfast at a hidden lake, a journey through villages, and lunch prepared by locals. Despite not being a workout fan, the experience was incredibly rewarding. Cycling through Udaipur's offbeat paths felt like a personal triumph, and it's a memory I still cherish.

Recently, my daughter invited me to join her for a sound bath and movement yoga session at a peaceful farmhouse near Mumbai. After being welcomed with cacao, we dove into an energetic yoga class. The sound bath that followed was captivating—unique instruments like the handpan and rainmaker created an immersive ocean-like experience. It was both relaxing and energizing, and I left feeling grateful for my daughter’s insistence. A truly extraordinary experience I’m eager to repeat.

For my birthday, I took my girlfriends to a cocktail-making class at 32nd Avenue in Gurgaon. We wanted something different, so we opted for this fun, hands-on experience. We crafted three cocktails each, got recipe breakdowns, and paired them with amazing food. It was a lively, refreshing celebration and one of our most memorable!

As a child, I spent every summer at my grandparents' house, but one summer stands out when my mom enrolled me in a military-style camp, Prahar, in Nagpur. At first, I wasn’t excited. For a week, we lived like army officers—5 AM wake-ups, intense physical training, lectures, and team-building exercises. Afternoons were packed with rock climbing, rappelling, and horse riding. On the last day, we proudly showcased our new skills to our parents with a 2-3 km trail. Over 16 years later, the memories and discipline I gained still resonate with me.

A few years ago, I took a solo trip to Udaipur and joined a heritage walk through the city. The walk revealed the city’s rich history and stunning architecture. One afternoon, a local invited me to their home for dinner, where I was welcomed with warmth, shared stories, and a delicious home-cooked meal. That evening, I realized how travel connects us in unexpected ways and teaches us the value of solitude and human connection. It was a trip that reminded me of the beauty of stepping out on my own.

Real People . Real Stories . Real Experiences

That one-hour delivery? Gone in minutes.
But your first pottery class? Still sitting on your
bookshelf.
The thrill of a new phone fades by day five.
But camping under a starlit sky?
That stays with you.
You won’t remember how that new series ended.
But you’ll remember how a sound bath in the
mountains made you feel.
A food delivery app is convenient.
But cooking a meal with someone you love?
That’s unforgettable.
