Join us for a beginner-friendly ceramic sculpting workshop where you’ll learn how to create a self-portrait or a quirky version of your friend's face using clay. In this relaxed, supportive environment, you’ll be guided through the process of sculpting from scratch-adding facial features, texture, and character to transform a simple ball of clay into a unique sculpture. You’ll have the option to take your sculpture home as is or get it glazed and fired into a beautiful ceramic piece at no additional cost. We’ll handle the bisque firing and glaze firing with pre-selected colors. The entire process takes about 4-5 weeks, after which your unique sculpture will be ready for pickup or delivery within Mumbai (at an additional cost).

Beginner-Friendly: No experience needed—just bring your creativity and willingness to try something new.
All Materials Provided: Work with fine-quality stoneware, tools, and everything you need to sculpt your piece.
Sculpt Your Self-Portrait or Friend's Face: Learn how to sculpt a self-portrait or a fun, quirky version of someone you love.
Facial Features & Textures: Master the art of adding realistic facial features and textures to your sculpture.
Step-by-Step Guidance: Garima will guide you through every step, teaching foundational sculpting techniques.
Take Home or Leave for Firing: Take your clay sculpture home as-is, or leave it for glazing and firing at no additional cost.
4-5 Week Process: Your sculpture will go through drying, glazing, and firing over 4-5 weeks. Pickup is available once ready, or delivery within Mumbai (additional cost Rs 200 within Mumbai).
Crack Disclaimer: If your piece cracks during any step of the process, it cannot be glazed or fired.

Cancellation Policy:
Any cancellation will be levied a 40% cancellation fee and the rest shall be refunded. No shows will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule.
Monsoon in Mumbai: In case of extremely heavy rains or an alert in the city, if you cannot make it to the workshop on the assigned date you can reschedule once to another date basis studio/date availability. You must contact us directly to confirm the same, else it will be a no show.
Experience Postponement or Cancellation: In case an experience is postponed or cancelled by us, you will be entitled to a full refund. Alternatively, you have an option to use the booking amount as credit against a future experience of your choice and as per your convenience.
Transfer Booking: In case you cannot attend an experience, you may transfer your booking to another person. Please contact us via website.

About the host:

Garima Sharma is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mumbai, with a deep passion for the tactile and reflective qualities of clay. Her pottery practice seamlessly blends sculptural and functional forms, exploring the often-overlooked relationships we have with everyday objects. Through her work, she reflects on themes of nature, memory, and the silent presence of the inanimate in our lives, using clay as a medium to engage with the subtle yet profound connections we share with the world around us.

Her cosy studio is a space for both amateurs and artists to slow down and explore their creativity. Participants often describe her workshops as fun, creative, informative and her ad a knowledgable, patient and enthusiastic facilitator who brings out their artistic side.
