Join us for a 6-session online writing course starting September 8, where we’ll come together every Monday and Wednesday from 6-8 PM IST to explore the power of writing and reflection. This course is designed to create a safe, judgment-free space for participants to engage in thought-provoking readings, writing exercises, and group discussions. Each session will include a blend of articles, book excerpts, poems, and visual and writing prompts to help you reflect, question, and connect with others.

Whether you’re writing for personal growth, creativity or to build solidarity, this course offers the space and community to think, write, and grow collectively. If you miss a session, don’t worry! You’ll receive a recording of the session, ensuring you stay on track.

Pragya Bhagat

About the Host:

Pragya Bhagat is a spoken word poet, award-winning essayist, TEDx speaker, and an author of two books. Her work explores the intersections between natural ecosystems, belonging, and the politics of vulnerability. Pragya’s writing has been featured in the BBC, The Alipore Post, the Huffington Post, and The Wire, amongst others.
She is the founder of the Poetry Circle, a fortnightly community space based in North Goa and a founding member of the Backyard Poets Collective. She has performed her poetry at Magnetic Fields, the Goa Arts and Literature Festival, and Spoken Fest, Asia’s largest poetry festival. Pragya has created performative exhibitions for the Museum of Christian Art and the Sunaparanta Art Gallery.
Pragya is the recipient of the Orange Flower Award for writing on mental health and the UPES Students Choice Award for Memoir Writing. Her latest book, Swimming in Our Oceans was chosen by Bound as one of the best nonfiction books of 2022.
Over the past five years, Pragya has taught over a hundred creative writing workshops and coached more than a dozen individuals across the world on becoming more effective, engaging writers.
